We decided to visit the Ming Tombs and Great Wall of China with a tour as this would save us a lot of hassle. We ended up with three Arabs, one Russian lady and a Dutch couple. In other words our group was shit, we really haven't had much luck so far when it comes to tours. Our tour guide was called Sally and was extremely enthusiastic and loud, she would call "Sally group! This way Sally group!" every two minutes which sounded as if she was screaming "Silly group".
We left Beijing really early in the morning and saw the Ming Tombs first- not very exciting. We were too hyped up about the wall to care much about a tomb they wouldn't even let you look at as it was 25 metres under ground.
Anyway the Great Wall was incredible! We arrived at Badaling and took a gondola up to the wall. Then we had free time to walk the wall for a few hours. This was quite breathtaking and we found a great place to perch and enjoy a snickers bar... that is before we got harassed by Chinese people wanting to touch us, take photos of us and with us.
Naturally we had a photo shoot ....
Then we made some Chinese friends...
We got foot massages on the way home after our long day of posing... hectic lifestyle we know
